Reconstruction
- Reason: civil war ended, and 14th, 15th, and 16th amendments given by Abraham Lincoln. Black people were given their rights, but not as equal as white men.
- Result: Jim Crow Laws was put into force. On the other hand, America entered Depression, but it recovered fast. America then fought in Spanish-American war. Hence, America became a new, big empire.
WWI
- Reason: WWI started in 1914, British, France, Russia against Germany, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire.
- Result: the United States entered the world in 1917, and the war ended in 1918. the Alliance won.
Great Depression
- Reason: Stock market crashed in 1929.
- Result: Great Depression started in 1929 and lasted to 1939, the year WWII started.
WWII
- Reason: Germany was unable to pay back the debt of WWI. Printing money caused hyperinflation in Germany. Hitler started the war in 1939. Japan bombed Pearl Habor.
- Result: The United States joined the war. In 1945, the war ended. The Alliance won. Now the world had two superpowers after the war: the Soviet Union and the United States.
The Cold War
- Reason: The two superpowers hold two different political views: capitalism and communism.
- Result: The nuclear race. The Korean War. Vietnam War. The race to the moon.
